US acquisition for Rino Mastrotto Group
Rino Mastrotto Group has acquired Carroll Leather, a North Carolina-based supplier of leather to the furniture industry.
Founded in 1970, Carroll Leather was part of a larger group called Carroll Companies Inc. The parent company decided to sell its leather division and Rino Mastrotto Group moved in to make the acquisition and to set it up as a new US division for the group, RMG Leather USA.
Group chief executive, Matteo Mastrotto, said Rino Mastrotto Group had been searching for a way to expand its business in the US and that the acquisition of Carroll Leather had given it an ideal opportunity to do that. He said that the combination of the Italy-based group’s ability to produce high-end leather and Carroll Leather’s experience in marketing and customer service would make RMG Leather USA “the US furniture industry’s most important supplier of premium leather”.
