Istanbul event goes ahead in person
The 64th Aysaf exhibition for leather and footwear opened in Istanbul on June 30, running until July 3.
Organisers said more than 280 companies had registed to take part, displaying leather collections, footwear components and machinery.
And, because the event coincided with a period of what the Turkish government has called “normalisation” following covid-19 restrictions, the organisers said they expected visitors from around 30 countries to attend in person.
Buyers from Russia, Egypt, the UK, Italy, Greece, Poland and Kazakhstan were among those expected to travel to Istanbul to view the product offerings at close quarters.
