Deal completion brings 420 Lanxess employees to TFL
On completing its acquisition of Lanxess’s organic leather chemicals business on June 1, TFL brought on board around 420 employees from the rival chemicals group.
Lanxess made a broad range of leather chemicals at its factories in Germany, Italy and China. It confirmed that all operations of the organic leather chemicals business line, with around 420 employees, have now transferred to TFL.
TFL’s recently arrived chief executive, Dr Wolfgang Schütt, said: “I am excited that the leather chemical business of Lanxess is now part of TFL. We are very pleased to welcome our new colleagues as part of the TFL family.”
He said the combination would allow TFL to serve the leather industry better and promised “an unparalleled range of high-performing, innovative and sustainable solutions”.
