Industry association Assomac has said its Simac-Tanning Tech event, which is scheduled to take place in Milan from September 22 to 24, will offer leather and footwear machinery manufacturers the chance to restart their businesses after the pandemic.

Simac-Tanning Tech will run alongside Lineapelle, Micam and Mipel and Assomac said it was hopeful of seeing representatives of all parts of the international leather industry in person in Milan for the events.

Assomac president, Maria Vittoria Brustia, said she thought having leather industry people gather again in Milan could be “a decisive moment” in the sector’s revival.
