This follows the company’s recent sponsorship of a national marathon, at the end of which CEO Masud Omari said the aim was to raise the company’s profile on the domestic and international stage.
He appealed to Tanzanians to buy leather products from KLICL as they have “high quality that meets international standards”.
In December, the company presented its products to the Prime Minister of Tanzania, Kassim Majaliwa, at the Tanzania Industrial Products Fair (pictured).
The company was founded in 2017 by the PPF Pensions Fund and Prisons Corporation Sole, building on the existing Karanga shoe factory. The new group will include a tannery, footwear, soles and leathergoods manufacturing factories and a training department.
Its products include leather school shoes, women's and men's shoes and safety shoes.
