Coach adds Pillow Tabby to leathergoods stable
American luxury label Coach recently unveiled the latest iteration of its Tabby 26 shoulder bag, the Pillow.
A plush reimagining of the structured silhouette of an archival 1970s Coach design, the Pillow Tabby comes in “ultra-soft” Nappa leather, as the brand described it, with wrapped Signature hardware in tonal leather and detachable smooth leather shoulder and crossbody straps. It comes in five colours, including pink, black and ivory.
Fashion photographer Juergen Teller captured the campaign imagery, which features Coach ambassadors Camila Morrone, Jennifer Lopez, Paloma Elsesser, Binx Walton and Quincy squeezing an oversized (not for sale) Pillow Tabby, as well as snuggling into and caressing the puffy leather of the regular (for sale) size.
Coach creative director, Stuart Vevers, commented on Mr Teller’s campaign visuals: “Juergen has a uniquely tongue-in-cheek approach and I knew he could capture the warm, intimate and playful point of view that celebrates the special qualities of our Pillow Tabby bag.”
