TFL products and plants achieve level-three ZDHC certification
Leather chemicals manufacturer TFL has achieved level-three certification from the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) programme for all of its products and factories.
This level of certification, the company explained, validates TFL’s processes “in all major aspects of sustainable chemicals manufacture”. This includes raw materials selection and assessment, and the communication of safety-relevant information to customers and brands.
It said it was proud that its major manufacturing plants in France, Italy, Brazil and India had successfully passed all audits at the first time of asking.
TFL said it believes leather production can have “a great future” if companies along the whole of the supply chain continue to work towards achieving the common goal of sustainable manufacturing.
