Tyson opens health clinics at seven US locations
Tyson Foods is rolling out health care clinics at seven of its US locations. Work on the pilot programme began before the pandemic, but the company said the clinics come at a time when there is “more of an appetite to understand [people’s] health”.
The clinics are designed to provide accessible healthcare to employees and their dependents. Operated by Marathon Health, they'll provide primary and preventative care, health screenings, lifestyle coaching, health education and behavioral health counseling.
The meatpacker is continuing its next phase of Covid-19 monitoring, which involves using an algorithm-based selection process to test team members who may be asymptomatic, conducting daily health screenings and testing close contacts of those who have symptoms or have tested positive for the virus.
“Tyson is really at the front end of this type of data-driven approach,” said Daniel Castillo, chief medical officer for Matrix Medical.
