Welsh luxury brand raffling leather chair for charity

Farmer and founder of a Wales-based luxury leathergoods brand, Hayley Hanson, is raffling off a luxury Simmental cow hide and velvet chair to raise money for a farming charity.

Money raised will go toward the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution, which offers support to farmers, farmworkers and dependants. Ms Hanson had been planning to do a fashion show and give a talk for the charity, but both were canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic. She decided instead to do the raffle; she will be selling tickets from her website in early August.

The brand has said it is the only luxury label in the world to use leather from Wales, with hides sourced from Hayley Hanson’s own farm and other local farms.
