SSIA announces first shoe shine competition

To enter, participants must submit photographs of shined shoes (using no shine stands or machines) by the March 15 deadline. Ten semi-finalists will be invited to compete live on July 11 at SSIA's 116th Annual Convention in Chicago. More information is available at ssia.info.
For the live competition, SSIA will provide a pair of unshined men's dress shoes and polish from a supplier member. Finalists will bring the rag/shine cloth of their choice and a water dispenser if they prefer one.
