Sixteen tanneries to take part in January Inspiramais

A total of 16 Brazilian tanneries will take part in the summer edition of Inspiramais in São Paulo on January 14 and 15.

This event, co-hosted by tanning industry association CICB, aims to show Brazilian and international fashion designers the latest collections that tanners and other material suppliers have put together. Inspiramais is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year.

CICB said the offerings of the leather manufacturers who will take part will focus particularly on sustainability, high quality and fashion.

At the event, designers will be able to see extensive displays of leather samples from participating tanneries and, to emphasise the importance of leather, there will also be a lounge full of leather furniture, produced in partnership with the Brazilian Furniture Industry Association, Abimóvel.

In addition, CICB will use this edition of Inspiramais, to promote the Brazilian Leather Certification of Sustainability (CSCB), the programme it introduced in 2012 to promote sustainability in the Brazilian leather industry.
