The 2019 general assembly of the Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (GRSB) took place in Christchurch, New Zealand, in mid-November.

In the course of the event, the organisation unveiled details of its strategic plan for 2030. It highlighted five priority areas including establishing global goals for sustainable beef organisations around the world and providing support for that network of organisations.

It also said it would develop an information system to report progress on the global goals and build partnerships to help meet them. Finally, it said it would increase its general communication efforts to help make sure beef is “a trusted part of a thriving food system”.
