Demand higher than ever for customised Rolls-Royce cars
Automotive manufacturer Rolls-Royce has said global demand for the sills of the craftspeople that work in in its bespoke division is at “unprecedented levels”.

It is producing record numbers of handcrafted, customised vehicles to meet exactly the demands of its customers around the world.

Explaining the phenomenon, the head of Rolls-Royce Bespoke, John Beckley, said: “Our Bespoke division is working tirelessly to fulfil customer demand. Never before have we seen such levels of demand for Bespoke personalisation.”

In one recent example, the team created a Rolls-Royce Phantom in turquoise with in the interior, what the company described as “a large swathe” of colour-matched leather, which “sweeps across Phantom’s expansive roof, enveloping the occupant in an atmospheric cocoon”.

To be able to incorporate the starlight headliner detail, in which Rolls-Royce consults with an observatory to be able to pick out the map of the stars for any date the customer chooses. In  this case, this meant its craftspeople had to stitch 1,344 hand-woven fibre optic lights into the turquoise leather
