International organisations including the International Labour Organisation, the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation, the European Commission and the World Wildlife Fund joined forces with the Pakistan Tanners’ Association to run a workshop on cleaner production in Karachi on August 6.

Themes that the event covered included the preservation of hides and skins, the carbon footprint of leather and cleaner operations in the beamhouse.
