Peak energy and water savings lead ISA TanTec to Super LITE

06/08/2019
Sixteen years after bringing LITE leather to market, tanning group ISA TanTec has launched Super LITE.

The group developed the brand to highlight its lower use than the industry average of water and of energy in making its leather, calling it LITE because it has a lower impact on the environment. Pointing to what it has called the pinnacle of these savings and its use of “minimal processes”, ISA TanTec has now begun to use the name Super LITE for some of its articles.

In a separate announcement, the group has confirmed that its production facility in China, which houses Heshan TanTec Leather and Heshan Bestway Leather Product, has been reaccredited as gold-rated by multi-stakeholder body the Leather Working Group.
