GRSB hosts São Paulo event

Sessions included presentations on global market trends, on the situation of the beef and livestock sectors in Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Colombia, and a separate sessionn on sustainable beef production in Uruguay.
Break-out sessions later in the programme included discussions on land-use, on greenhouse gas emissions and on antimicrobial treatments for livestock.
The sustainability director of Marfrig, Paulo Pianez, said the event reflected one of the pillars of his company’s strategy, sustainability. He commented: “We are committed to sustainable production, protecting the environment, animal welfare and co-operation with local communities.”
