Gucci-backed festival to highlight tech innovations
Italian leathergoods company Gucci is the main sponsor of the first Fast Company European Innovation Festival (FCEIF), which will be held in Florence and Milan between July 9 and 11, and will “highlight the potential for collaboration between man and machine”.

Speakers include Marco Bizzarri, CEO of Gucci; Natalie Massenet, founder of luxury shopping portal Net-A-Porter; and actor and tech investor Jared Leto.

A select group of attendees will be invited to tour the Florence-based Gucci ArtLab, the company's centre of craftsmanship and laboratory for leathergoods and shoes, and Gucci 9, where the company  “explores the best ways to optimise the remote client experience”.

Mr Bizzarri said: "At Gucci we have established a culture of innovation fostering experimentation and new technologies, but always in support of creativity and the human touch. We are therefore delighted to help power this festival, bringing together leading thinkers in conversations about the new paradigms in front of us."
