JBS to expand Nebraska plant

30/05/2019
Packer firm and leather manufacturer JBS has announced a $95 million expansion project at its Grand Island beef production facility in Nebraska.

This project will include new, improved animal-handling facilities, including a temperature-controlled floor.

JBS said the expansion, which it expects to complete early in 2021, will help it meet “evolving customer and consumer expectations”. Operations at Grand Island will continue uninterrupted.

The plant at Grand Island currently partners with more than 670 local cattle producers and exports beef to more than 30 different countries around the world.
