Q1 revenues up for JBS

Meat and leather group JBS achieved revenues of just over $11 billion for the first quarter of 2019. This is an increase of 11.5% compared to the first quarter of 2018.

The group reports the results of its leather division, JBS Couros, as part of the JBS Brasil segment of its business. JBS Brasil achieved revenues of $1.7 billion, an increase of 7.4% compared to the same quarter last year.

It said JBS Brasil slaughtered 2.9% more cattle in the first quarter of 2019 than in the same quarter a year earlier but did not give a total figure.
