First speakers named for Sustainable Leather Forum

Two tanners are among the first speakers confirmed for the first Sustainable Leather Forum, which will take place in Paris on September 16. Jean-Christophe Muller, director general of calf leather specialist Tanneries Haas, and Olivier Raynaud, owner-manager of Mazament-based veg-tanned leather specialist Raynaud Jeune, are among the first six confirmed speakers.

Other confirmed participants will be diversity and corporate social responsibility expert Fella Imalhayene and the chief executive of watch-strap and leathergoods manufacturer JC Perrin, Ange Alez-Martin.

Chairman of the Leather Naturally campaign, Smit & zoon’s Egbert Dikkers, and Gustavo Gonzalez-Quijano, the general secretary of the leather industry’s representative body in the European Union, COTANCE, will also speak at the event.
