Singer Rihanna to launch luxury fashion brand with LVMH?

Barbados-born Rihanna (real name Robyn Rihanna Fenty) has been in discussions with LVMH to launch the brand under her own name, according to the reports. It is expected to span ready-to-wear, leathergoods and accessories.
The singer already has successful make-up and lingerie businesses, both of which are sold under the Fenty brand name, referencing her surname. She has also had a stint as creative director of sportswear brand Puma.
If the reports are correct, it would mark the first fashion brand launched from inception by LVMH since Christian Lacroix in 1987.
