Italian leather industry lends a hand at Florence social project

A social project in Florence, Cooperativa Girasole, has paid tribute to the materials, technical and financial help it has received from the leather industry. Notable among the donors are the Lineapelle and Mipel exhibitions and tanning industry association UNIC.

Young people with learning difficulties at the project have learned to cut leather and make it into finished products, including bags.

Some of the products the group at Cooperative Girasole has made will go on show at the next edition of Lineapelle in Milan, which takes place from February 20-22.
