Lectra helps Moroso lay the groundwork for growth

Approached by Moroso, which has been in business since 1952, Lectra proposed the installation of its DesginConcept virtual prototyping and costing solution. This has allowed the company to incorporate cost targets and evaluate the design and production feasibility of a product at an early stage.
In addition, Moroso has invested in Lectra’s Versalis automated leather cutting technology. This has improved its production flexibility and increased its material efficiency. It is now also able to obtain continual data to drive process improvements.
Massimo Romanutti, Moroso production manager, has said: “Lectra’s technology has helped us evaluate the comfort and feasibility of a product from the very early stages of the process. This translates into time savings and a greater awareness of design choices.”
