Australia’s beef export revenues are the third-highest in history

Exports of Australian red meat had a value of almost US$9.9 billion for the 12 months ending June 2018. This represents growth of 13% compared to the previous year.

Beef exports were worth $5.7 billion, which is 57.5% of the total.

Industry commentators said this figure fell short of those recorded in the years of extreme drought in the middle of this decade but was the third-highest on record for Australia.
