New chief executive and new structure for Marfrig

04/09/2018
Packer group Marfrig has named Eduardo Miron as its new chief executive, replacing Martín Secco.

Mr Miron has been part of the Marfrig executive team since 2010 and became the group’s vice-president for finance and investor relations in 2016. He worked previously for Grupo Safra and for US group Cargill.

The group has announced a reorganisation of its business structure following Mr Miron’s appointment and following its acquisition last year of National Beef, including National Beef Leathers.

Marfrig will now consist of a South American division, headed up by Miguel Gularte, and a North American division, headed up by former National Beef chief executive, Tim Klein.
