TFL to expand retanning chemicals production

Leather chemicals manufacturer TFL is to invest in increased capacity at its facility in Huningue, France, where it manufacturers products for the retanning phase of the leather manufacturing process.

Specifically, the company said on making the announcement that this expansion will increase by 30% its capacity to make its Sellatan products. It explained that it is making this extra investment to keep up with demand from customers, especially those serving the automotive sector.

TFL said the expansion project is already under way and that it expects deliveries from the new, expanded unit to start in the second quarter of 2019. It added that there will also be an increase in capacity at its facility in Hyderabad, India, albeit a smaller one.
