CLE leads business delegation on Vietnam trip

A delegation of 30 executives from leading Indian leather companies travelled to Ho Chi Minh City on July 12 to meet with their counterparts in Vietnam.

The meeting was organised by the Consulate General of India, based in the city, and Lefaso, the Vietnam Leather, Footwear and Handbag Association. 

The visit was led by Indian’s Council for Leather Exports (CLE). It gave Indian leather industry figures the opportunity to meet with potential partners in Vietnam and to showcase some of their products. 

According to Lefaso, Vietnam imported leather worth $92 million from India in 2017, 5% of its total leather imports. It plans to import up to $115 million-worth this year.
