Another Arzignano tanning group makes a move into Tuscan territory

Following in the footsteps of major Arzignano-based tanning companies Gruppo Dani and Gruppo Mastrotto, a third group from the Veneto cluster is making a move into the Tuscan tanning hub around Santa Croce sull’Arno.

In April, Gruppo Dani announced that it was opening a new wet-end operation in Ponte a Egola in Tuscany in partnership with one of the famous tanning groups there, Volpi.

This was followed by news in June that Gruppo Mastrotto is planning to open a new tannery in Santa Croce, with production due to start in the early part of 2019.

Now Gruppo Peretti is making a move of its own. It announced at the start of July that it had reached an agreement to acquire 100% of the equity of Conceria Miura, a Santa Croce-based specialised producer of calf leather for high-end footwear.

Gruppo Peretti already runs two tanneries in the Arzignano cluster: Conceria Cristina and Nuova Gasby.
