Belgian tannery launches photography competition
29/05/2018
Users of Radermecker leather have from May 31 until October 31 to take photographs of the finished products they make from the material the tannery produces and send them into the competitions. All entries will be uploaded onto a dedicated website and online visitors will vote for their favourites.
At the close of the competition in the autumn, Radermacker will assemble a panel of leather industry experts to choose an overall winner.
Radermacker is one of only two tanneries operating in Belgium today; the other is the Tannerie Masure in Estaimbourg, which is partly owned by luxury group LVMH. The Radermecker family set the business up in 1870 and ran it until 2016, when, in his late eighties, André-Jean Radermecker decided to sell. The buyers were Loïc Honoré and Nicolas Quintin, entrepreneurs from across the border in France.
