Accessories keep Burberry buoyant
Luxury brand Burberry has reported a 1% decline in its full-year revenues for the 12 months to March 31, 2018. Total revenues for the year were just over £2.7 billion.

Burberry made much in announcing the results of what the figures look like without the beauty category, which the brand has now sold to Coty. Without beauty, the revenue figures would show growth of 2% year on year.

Accessories grew by 1% and contributed just over £1 billion to the total. Burberry said its small leathergoods category had shown “continued strength” and said it was optimistic about demand for new handbag styles that it has launched in spring 2018.
