Tuscan tanner named as president of SSIP

The chief executive of the Antiba tannery in Santa Croce in Tuscany, Graziano Balducci, will serve as the next president of Italian leather research body Stazione Sperimentale delle Pelli e delle Materie Concianti (SSIP).

Mr Balducci, who is also a vice-president of tanning industry association UNIC, will hold the position for the next three years.

At more than 130 years old, SSIP is the world’s oldest existing technical institute dedicated to the leather industry.
