Smit & zoon publishes its CSR report for 2017
Leather chemicals manufacturer Smit & zoon has published its corporate social responsibility (CSR) report for 2017, highlighting the company’s environmental and social performance.

Highlights the report points to include the launch of the Product Passport (pictured), which gives an overview of the performance of wet-end chemicals on leather and on the environment, and the introduction of zeolite-based, chrome-free retanning agent Syntan ZLR 100.

Apart from these achievements, Smit & zoon has said that other developments that made 2017 an eventful year were its opening of new sales offices and leather application labs, and its acquisition of Italian leather chemicals manufacturer Codyeco.

Chief executive, Hans van Haarst, commented: “All of these activities are in line with our mission to be the preferred partner of our customers, providing them excellent products and solutions, today and tomorrow. To make the businesses of our customers fit for future innovation and sustainability are necessary. This report clearly shows our continuous efforts in supporting our customers with that.”
