Wollsdorf Leather offers “unique comfort” to aircraft passengers

The interior was developed according to Diamond’s specifications at Wollsdorf’s research and development centre in Croatia. It expects to deliver 35 complete interiors during 2018. The aircraft manufacturer also plans to equip its single-engine, five-seat DA50 model with leather from Wollsdorf.
"Of course, we are highly pleased that we were able to convince Diamond Aircraft with our quality," said Andreas Kindermann, managing director of Wollsdorf Leather. "Our main plant in Wollsdorf manufactures the aircraft’s lightweight leather and Wollsdorf Components in Croatia sews the carpets and adds the leather to various trim parts and the seats.”
For her part, Xenia Schinzel, head of materials management at Diamond Aircraft, added: “The high-quality interior perfectly goes together with our state-of-the-art aircraft and will offer unique comfort to pilots and passengers. "
Austria-based Wollsdorf was named Tannery of the Year in 2014. It primarily produces high-quality leather for the automotive market.
