Italian leather company helps add luxury to new aircraft

The first of five new A380s will enter service in December. Singapore Airlines also plans to retrofit its 14 existing aircraft to ensure consistency across the whole fleet.
The biggest change in the design of the aircraft comes for the airline’s top-end customers. It has reduced the number of suites from 12 to six in order to allow more space for a separate bed and fully adjustable seat. Each seat in this class is upholstered with leather from Italian company Poltrona Frau, which is better known for its luxury furniture.
The seats in business class (pictured) also feature Poltrona Frau leather.
