Guanajuato shoemakers need to attract new talent
The president of CICEG, the main footwear industry association in the Mexican state of Guanajuato, Luis Gerardo González, has said shoe manufacturers there are having difficulty attracting new talent.

In a recent television interview, Mr Gerardo said the city of León, where most of Mexico’s shoe production is concentrated, now has a wide variety of alternative employment opportunities. He said CICEG is receiving help from federal, state and city governments to put in place programmes that will help shoe companies attract new talent.
