Packer and tanning group JBS continues to make progress with its plan to sell off a number of its assets. It announced in June that it would sell its 19.2% interest in São Paulo-based food company Vigor Alimentos and a buyer has now emerged.

Subject to approval by the boards of both the buying and the selling company, Mexican food company Grupo Lala will take the JBS stake in Vigor.

Lala has 22 production plants and 160 distribution centres in Mexico, the US and Central America. It currently has 34,000 employees across the group.
