Burberry celebrates “outperforming” accessories

Luxury group Burberry has reported revenues of £1.6 billion in the six-month period to March 31, 2017, an increase of 14% year on year taking exchange rates into account.

Burberry said on announcing the results that strength in China had driven growth in Asia-Pacific, while an “exceptional performance” in its home UK market had led to double-digit growth in Europe.

It said its accessories division had outperformed its expectations and that sales of leathergoods had grown by a percentage figure in the mid-teens.
