Kering joins band of leathergoods groups reporting good growth

Following recent revelations of revenue growth at Hermès and at Coach, Kering is the latest luxury leathergoods group to show positive figures for 2016.

On February 10, Kering announced 2016 revenues of almost €12.4 billion, with operating income of just under €1.9 billion. These figures represent growth of 6.9% and 14.5% respectively.

On releasing the results, chief executive, François-Henri Pinault, highlighted the performances of two Kering brands, Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent, describing their results as “spectacular”. These brands achieved growth of 12.7% and of 25.5% respectively in 2016.
