Radley eyes US relaunch
UK-based leathergoods retailer Radley is in talks with US department stores as it looks to reintroduce its products to the country, according to its CEO.

Justin Stead, who took over as the head of the company in April 2015, said Radley has been investing in North America over the last 12 months in preparation for a relaunch in stores in July.

It will also carry out a major online drive in the US as part of a strategy to double its overall internet sales in the next three years, he revealed.

“Radley’s previous entry into the US was a disastrous initiative that simply was not well thought through,” Mr Stead admitted, pinpointing poor infrastructure support and a poor retail store strategy as reasons for the unsuccessful attempt.

He added that the brand has started to see increased demand for its products from US customers, including in New York and California.
