New chief executive at Radley

UK-based leathergoods retailer Radley + Co has appointed Xavier Simonet as its new chief executive, just less than a year after former CEO Sven Gaede and former chairman Paul Mason left the company.

Roger Best, who had been chairman before that, has been working as the interim CEO since that time.

Mr Simonet was vice-president and general manager at Paris-based DB Apparel Group whose brands include Dim, Playtex, Wonderbra and Lovable, and previously spent 11 years at luxury group LVMH.

Mr Best said: "We are delighted that Xavier will be joining Radley. He has great experience of developing women’s premium brands around the world and is the right person to lead the company through its exciting next growth phase."

Mr Simonet added: "Radley is a company with strong values, people and products. The potential for further growth is considerable and I am really looking forward to working with the team to build Radley into an internationally renowned premium brand."
