Led by the Brazilian Leather initiative, a project launched by the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) and export promotions agency Apex-Brasil that aims to promote leather exports, four Brazilian companies are to attend the latest edition of Première Vision Leather in Paris (February 7-9).

“The public at Première Vision is highly qualified and loyal. It’s a high-standard event for all those who live and create fashion”, explained Letícia Luft, manager of the Brazilian Leather project.

The companies that will exhibit are: Best Brasil, Nova Kaeru, Rusan and Soubach. They are expected to generate $1 million in business during the event.

Camila Koefender, director at Curtume Rusan, said the company has “huge expectations” for Première Vision Leather. It sees it as an opportunity to strengthen its relationships with international customers. Ms Koefender admitted that these are harder to consolidate in comparison to domestic partnerships.

Brazilian Leather will allow present its Preview do Couro (Leather Preview) to the public in Paris. It consists of selection of hides that anticipate future trends. They are developed with the help of various Brazilian tanneries.
