LVMH to fund sustainability programme at Central Saint Martins

Luxury group LVMH has announced the start of a “decisive new era” in its collaboration with London fashion school Central Saint Martins (CSM).

The group will make a “major investment” to increase the scholarship programmes it offers to CSM students. It will also fund a new sustainability innovation programme, which aims to shape the future of the luxury industry by tackling the challenges facing it. CSM will partner with LVMH Maisons to this end. 

LVMH said the programme will allow knowledge to be exchanged between its team and CSM students and staff. A new CSM LVMH Director of Sustainability and Innovation will be appointed to enhance the institution’s curriculum and ensure sustainable innovation is a key part of all the disciplines taught there. 

“This exceptional commitment by LVMH to Central Saint Martins will enable the two partners to co-design a world leading programme, so allowing the talents of tomorrow to be immersed in issues of sustainability and innovation,” said Jeremy Till, head of CSM.
