19/01/2017
Tunisia’s National Leather and Footwear Centre (CNCC) has laid out its plans and targets for the industry in the coming years.

By 2020, the CNCC aims to boost the competitiveness and productivity of leather and footwear companies, increase technological research and development, and improve overall promotion of the two sectors.

It will work at implementing improved systems of quality control, environmental management and innovation. In the next three, it will launch 28 separate research projects, 20 in Tunisia and a further eight overseas. There are also plans to recruit and train a workforce, who will be able to replace those workers who are approaching retirement.
