Work already under way in Germany for 2019 IULTCS Congress

With India finalising its preparations to host the 2017 IULTCS Congress in Chennai (February 5-8), the German Leather Technicians and Chemists Association (VGCT) has announced that it has already begun work to host the event in 2019.

In 2019, the IULTCS (International Union of Leather Technologists’ and Chemists’ Societies) will celebrate its thirty-fifth international congress. The event will take place from June 25-28 in the city of Dresden. It will have as its theme the idea that leather production can have a positive future “through science and sustainability” and, in its official slogan, will describe leather as being “benign by design”.

Hosting the XXXV IULTCS Congress will coincide with the German organisation’s celebration of its own seventieth anniversary.
