CICB to launch series of 2017 events to celebrate sixtieth anniversary

At the start of 2017, CICB president, José Fernando Bello, said: “We’ve reached six decades as a strong, cohesive, and firm entity that defends the leather sector. We have a long, beautiful story of progress that’s worth remembering and valuing.”
He went on to say that CICB continues to believe firmly in the leather industry as a source of growth for Brazil and remains committed to encouraging the industry to use new technology and information to keep growing.
Mr Bello said CICB intends to hold a series of events in the course of 2017 to celebrate the last 60 years, celebrating its accomplishments so far, the people behind those accomplishments, while explaining something of the social context at each stage and highlighting its objectives for the future.
