Adient celebrates its Independence Day

It supports all major automakers in “differentiating vehicles through superior quality, technology and performance”, it said on making the announcement. It has 75,000 employees and operates 230 manufacturing and assembly plants in 33 countries.
In addition, Adient has 17 seating joint ventures in the Chinese market, operating 60 manufacturing locations in 32 cities there.
Chief executive, Bruce McDonald, and other members of the executive management team participated in the opening bell-ringing ceremony on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange to celebrate the company’s official ‘day one’.
Adient said it plans to increase investments in innovative products and technologies that address trends such as autonomous driving, electrification, slim and lightweight seating, and consumer personalisation. It said it also expects to move into “adjacent markets” outside of the traditional automotive industry, such as in seating for commercial vehicles, passenger trains and aircraft.
