LVMH attracts largest number yet of new apprentices
Luxury group LVMH has launched the third programme of its Institut des Métiers d’Excellence (IME)  initiative, a programme aimed at passing on savoir-faire and artisan skills in leathergoods and other disciplines to a new generation of craftspeople.

LVMH launched the idea in 2014. This year, the largest number of apprentices so far, 178, will take part. They will work with master artisans from various LVMH brands and with vocational schools across Paris to learn and develop the skills required to work in the production of high-end leathergoods and other luxury products.

Group chief executive, Bernard Arnault, addressed the new group at an opening ceremony in Paris on October 18.
