Road improvement to help Karachi tanners

Tanners in Karachi, Pakistan are to benefit from proposals to improve infrastructure in the region.

During a meeting with Aziz Ahmed, newly elected senior vice chairman of the Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA), Karachi Commissioner Ejaz Ahmed Khan assured tanners that the reconstruction of Road 5000, the main access route to the region’s tannery zone, would be sped up.

He also ordered local authorities to prepare a plan for clearing the zone of rubbish and industrial waste that has been dumped there.
