Bottega Veneta names former Hugo Boss chief as CEO

François-Henri Pinault, chairman and CEO of Kering, said Mr Lahrs’ “outstanding experience and extensive knowledge of the luxury market” will be crucial in his new role. He added that he was confident the new CEO will help Bottega Veneta to “accelerate its development”.
Mr Lahrs stepped down as CEO of Hugo Boss in February 2016 after eight years at the German brand. He has previously worked at luxury brands like Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior.
In the first half of 2016, Bottega Veneta achieved revenues of €571 million. Leathergoods are the core of the brand’s business, making up 86.8% of total sales during the period. Shoes made up 7% of total revenue.
