Leather chemicals manufacturer TFL will have on display at the 2016 All China Leather Exhibition (Shanghai, August 31-September 2) a series of technologies that it says can lower the impact on the environment of tanning processes.

The company said in the build-up to the exhibition that automotive tanners using products such as  Coripol LE, Sella Tec AS and Roda Tec AI can achieve “substantially lower COD and salts load in their effluent and reduce the amount of process water at the same time”.

It will also have on display the effects of its Invaderm DB special auxiliary, which can be used to intensify dyeing on leather, allowing tanners to create what TFL calls “the deepest black, with a very silky touch on suede and nubuck articles”.

A new capping, pre-tanning and retanning agent for white and brilliant leathers Tannesco CPR liquid, will also be on show in Shanghai.
